Valentines Day

With Valentine's Day less than a week away, I decided to put together a semi-dressy look for the day!
My goal with this outfit was to put together a look that is comfortable while still looking put together. Since this look is for Valentine's Day, I wanted to make sure that I incorporated the holiday's colors as well!



I wanted to make this flannel the focus of the look to incorporate a Valentine's Day feel! It keeps the outfit casual while the skirt dresses the look up a bit. The colors and pattern of the top and skirt compliment each other nicely! 


This skirt is so comfortable and the pattern makes it super versatile! One of my number one requirements that I look for when considering buying a piece, specifically bottoms, is how much wear I will be able to get out of it. When I spotted this adorable skirt at Loft a few weeks ago it deffinitly passed the test! 

These glossy heels pull the outfit together. If you're looking for a way to pull a look together as well as dress it up, you can't go wrong with glossy black heels! 



This bracelet so cute! I picked it up for under $7 at Charming Charlie's the other weekend and I have worn it a lot! Since it is so simple it goes with just about everything! I think it adds just the right amount of sparkle to the outfit. For all of my jewelry in this outfit I wanted to keep it simple and subtle. At the same time, I also wanted to add enough that it accented the colors incorporated throughout the outfit.

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Ah, fall is finally here and couldn't be happier about it! I love the cooler weather, pretty trees, and fun fall activities. I have to admit though that my favorite aspect of fall is that fact that I get to pull out all of my cozy sweaters and scarves. Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration

Happy Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for this year. I am so thankful for my loving family and all of the support they show me. I am so thankful for my amazing friends who never fail to make me laugh. I am so thankful for my encouraging church and youth groups. I am so thankful that I have figured out where I want to go to college. I am so thankful for my blog and the opportunities it has brought. Post Vacation Blues

I hate coming home from vacation and getting back into the routine of my everyday life. Even though Florida was quite chilly, I loved every minute of it! I absolutely LOVE the ocean, beach, and palm trees, so I was not to excited to be coming back to bare and brown Iowa. However, while in Florida I had the opportunity to shoot several new looks for future blog posts and I'm sure some people are probably getting tired of all the beach pictures, so I'll work on slowing that down! Today's outfit is perfect for the warmer weather the Midwest will soon get, and the weather the rest of the country already seems to have!
