Spring is in the Air

The weather the past few days has been amazing! It feels so good to be outside and enjoy the warm sunshine on my very pale skin! Warm days give me hope that spring isn't too far off. Warmer weather for me means bringing out some of my spring clothes! This outfit is perfect for the rare warm days we have during February in Iowa! It incorporates some of the dark winter colors, yet has a spring-like feel to it due to the flower-printed, light kimono I layered on top of my maroon shirt. Although the weather has already began to cool off, I thought   that I would share a few pictures of my spring day look with you!  This look has such a springy- bohemian feel to it and I love it! The kimono from Forever 21 is such a fun and versatile piece.  On days that are a bit warmer I would definitely suggest adding a kimono to your look for a spring-like feel. For warmer days I also love the look of rolling my skinny jeans so they hit right above my...

Winter Texture

Winter can be a fun but sometimes difficult season to dress for. All of the dark colors can easily become overpowering and come together to make a look boring and drab. Adding texture to an outfit is the perfect solution to this dilemma.  For the center of this outfit I chose a pretty grey, marbled sweater to add texure and interest to the look. One of my favorite go-to outfit combinations in the winter months is a sweater, vest, blanket scarf, jeans, and some booties. An extra bonus is that all of the layers are sure to keep you nice and toasty even on cold snowy days! I love the texture of this sweater! I ...

Valentines Day

With Valentine's Day less than a week away, I decided to put together a semi-dressy look for the day! My goal with this outfit was to put together a look that is comfortable while still looking put together. Since this look is for Valentine's Day, I wanted to make sure that I incorporated the holiday's colors as well! I wanted to make this flannel the focus of the look to incorporate a Valentine's Day feel! It keeps the outfit casual while the skirt dresses the look up a bit. The colors and pattern of the top and skirt compliment each other nicely!  This skirt is so comfortable and the pattern makes it super versatile! One of my number one requirements that I look for when considering buying a piece, specifically bottoms, is how much wear I will be able to get out of it. When I spotted this adorable skirt at Loft a few weeks ago it deffinitly passed the test!  These glossy heels pull the outfit together. If you're looking for a way to pu...
